A break from the tedium.

Well I've noticed that I haven't posted in quite some long time and should also figure out how to use photobucket so I can start putting some pictures up. For now though I shall just post and talk about what I've been up too lately. Last night was pretty good went out with some new friends I made at the Keg, we all went out for drinks and are going to do the same tonight. Atleast I hope I don't get off too late so that I actually can go along with them. Should be fun times tonight though. I really do hope that this comes through because while things have been fine andc all that up here, everyday is slowly just becoming like the next and the daily grind is getting to me as well as to a few people in the house as well. So tonight it's Neill, myself, and friends from the Keg headed out for a night of fun. It does get to you after a while doing the same thing day in and day out, never changing, well obviously things always change everyday but those are like little unnoticable changes like "oh I woke up earlier today" type of thing. I hoping that this will be the start of new things, experiences and changes throughout the summer and new school year. I think thats one of my biggest problems I tend to get real comfortable in situations and just let the comfort stay and never try to move out of it. I'm not saying that being comfortable is bad in fact it's a good thing to strive for in many situations. I'm just saying you can't let your life just become so comfortable that it becomes stagnant where the everyday routine really becomes just that the everyday routine. Now obviously you could make huge changes and events happen in your life everyday but that would get tiring after a while and eventually then that would just become your everyday routine. All I'm saying is that it's important to find a balance to not let things get stagnant but also to not have them become chaotic all the time and i think for quite sometime well before the summer started I let things get stagnant in my life I was so focused on having everything comfortable, wanting to feel perfectly content to just let things be that I stopped doing new things stopped myself from having new experiences, and that right there is a sure fire way to lead a life of tedium, to actually and ever so slowly die of boredum. Not actually die mind you but to die alittle bit on the inside to let that energy that spark for life just fade away. Thats why from now on I'm going to strive for a balance I mean I don't want to be going out drinking every night and I'm not looking to not feel comfortable in my life, I'm just saying I don't want to burnout but I also don't want to have never started the flame. So from now on I'm going to strive to move out of my comfort zone, to see new things have new experiences, and to stop the tedium from taking over. I'll let you know how it goes.

Greg

Work

So who would of thought work would make me feel so much better. When I was going in I was in a very downer type of mood and needles to say I was no ray of sunshine. Then as the day progressed I'm not sure if it was the people, or just work, or time to myself or a combination of all three, or what, but I became and am currently in a very good mood right now and am thoroughly enjoying myself. Well I just wanted to put that I am in a much better mood right now and if I brought anybody down with ym sour mood before I am sorry about that.

I hope everyone is in a good mood as well, Greg.

The Beginning

Alright well this is my very first livejournal. It was created awhile ago and I have yet to post so think it's about time I did. This may say edit now because I pressed enter before I was done typing, regardless it doesn't matter. So let's see what has been going on. Well I'm living in Ottawa and working at The Keg. I wash dishes, thats right I work in the dish pit. It's not so bad though I do get lot's of free food and a 40% discount so if anyone wants dinner just let me know. My family is on there way to Toronto right now after coming up for the past couple of days to give me a visit. It was quite good to see them again, we went to the Civilization museum, and ate lot's of good food, walked around the By-Ward market and tried to get a tour of the Parliament buildings but they were far too busy and we did not have the time to wait. Oh well next time. All in all it's been a pretty busy couple of days and I have work tonight at 7, which I hope isn't too busy tonight I am so not in a working mood. Well thats what I'm going to post for now but I will definetly start posting more often. Well I'm off for now but I will post in the days to come.

Greg.
